CPChem starts Cedar Bayou 1-hexene plant

Chevron Phillips Chemical (CPChem) says it has commissioned and started up a 1-hexene plant at its Cedar Bayou complex at Baytown, TX. The 250,000-m.t./year plant is the world’s largest for the on-purpose production of 1-hexene, the company says.
