CPChem plans major hiring program for Texas cracker project, advances organosulfurs hike in Belgium

Chevron Phillips Chemical’s (CPChem) $6-billion project to build an ethane cracker and two polyethylene (PE) facilities on the US Gulf Coast (USGC) will create 10,000 jobs in the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) phase, says Dan Coombs, senior v.p./specialties, aromatics, and styrenics at CPChem.
