CF Industries' earnings slump on weak fertilizer market

Weak fertilizer prices pushed CF Industries’ earnings lower in the fourth quarter, with the company reporting net income of $325.8 million, down 30% year-over-year (YOY). However, reported earnings of $5.71/share were higher than analyst consensus of $4.49/share, as compiled by Thomson Reuters (New York).
