Borealis to acquire DEXPlastomers from DSM and ExxonMobil Chemical

Borealis announced today that it has reached an agreement to acquire DEXPlastomers (Heerlen, Netherlands), an equally owned joint venture between DSM and ExxonMobil Chemical. DEXPlastomers is a producer of ExxonMobil-process Exact plastomers, and Stamylex octene comonomer linear-low density polyethylene using DSM technology. The company operates a 120,000-m.t./year solution process polyethylene facility at Geleen, Netherlands.
