World News and Views :: Top of the News Borealis looks to its expanding fertilizer business to create a more stable revenue stream7:58 AM MST | February 26, 2013 | Francinia Protti-Alvarez Borealis, one the largest European manufacturers of polyolefins, saw its fourth-quarter net profit rise by 72%, driven in part by the company's growing presence in the European fertilizer sector, in which it continues to expand. Borealis, in the space of 12 months, has acquired and successfully integrated fertilizer producer PEC Rhin (Ottmarsheim, France) and made firm offers to Total for the acquisition of the outstanding shares of GPN (Paris) as well as for a 56.86% block of shares in Rosier (Moustier, Belgium).
