Biesterfeld acquires rubber distributor in Germany, forms jv with Swedish firm

Biesterfeld Group (Hamburg) says it has acquired all shares of Küttner (Speyer, Germany), with immediate effect. The acquisition is expected to help Biesterfeld Plastic, a Biesterfeld Group subsidiary, to expand its distribution business for thermoplastic elastomers, rubber, and rubber chemicals. The transaction, which remains subject to regulatory approval, reinforces the previously announced diversification strategy of Biesterfeld Plastic, which was initiated in 2010 with the acquisition of rubber distributor SMPC (Cherisy, France), the company says...
