Bayer to Spend €1 Billion ($1.5 Billion) on Climate Change-Related R&D

Bayer says it will spend €1 billion ($1.48 billion) on R&D projects between 2008 and 2010 that are directed toward solving global warming. The new R&D strategy is part of a wider initiative, dubbed the Bayer Climate Program, which is designed to slash the group's global warming gas emissions and enhance the company’s portfolio on products that contribute solutions to global warming and climate change.
