Bayer CropScience Announces €7-Billion Investment Program Through 2016

Bayer CropScience has announced a €7-billion ($9 billion) investment program, for 2011–16, to support the company's plans for above-market growth. The company says that €5 billion will be invested in R&D operations, through 2016, to develop new products and services for the farmer in seeds, novel chemicals, and biological crop protection; and €2 billion will be spent on new production capacities and seed-processing facilities, to meet rising demand for agricultural raw materials.  Bayer CropScience expects...
