BASF increases China production capacities for TPU, microcellular PU components; starts up engineering plastics compounding plant

BASF announced today three key capacity expansion projects for performance materials at its Pudong site at Shanghai. BASF has now significantly capacity expansion at its Elastollan thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) plant at Shanghai, which was established in 2007. BASF says that its previously announced compounding plant at Shanghai for the company’s engineering plastics Ultramid and Ultradur has started operating ahead of schedule.
