BASF and Sinopec open acrylic acid and SAP plants at Nanjing

The new SAP plant at BASF-YPC site at Nanjing. BASF-YPC, a 50-50 petrochemical joint venture between BASF and Sinopec at Nanjing, China, today opened the previously announced new plants for the production of acrylic acid and superabsorbent polymers (SAP), BASF says. A previously announced, new butyl acrylate plant at the BASF-YPC site will begin production later this year, BASF says.
