BASF Unlikely to Participate in Dow-Siam Cement HPPO Project

BASF says it will most likely not invest in a previously announced hydrogen peroxide-propylene oxide (HPPO) project planned by Dow Chemical and Siam Cement at Map Ta Phut, Thailand. The jv has broken ground on the propylene oxide (PO) facility, Dow says. It will have nameplate capacity for 390,000 m.t./year of PO using novel HPPO technology jointly developed by Dow and BASF.
