BASF Restructures Around Six Segments

BASF says it will reorganize around six segments, up from its current level of five segments, effective January 1. The new business segments are: chemicals, plastics, functional solutions, performance products, agricultural solutions, and oil and gas. BASF says the restructuring will help it be faster to market, closer to customers, as well as increase efficiency and ensure greater cyclical resilience.
