BASF Receives Approval for an Integrated MDI Complex in China

BASF says it has received approval from the Chinese authorities to proceed with a previously announced methylene di-para-phenylene isocyanate (MDI) complex at Chongqing, China. The 400,000 m.t./year plant will require an investment of Rmb8 billion ($1.22 billion) and will be wholly owned by BASF.
