World News and Views :: Top of the News BASF Acquires Nylon Business in Brazil11:21 AM MDT | May 4, 2012 | Kara Sissell BASF says it has acquired the nylon polymer and compounds business of the Mazzaferro Group (São Paulo). The deal includes site and production facilities for the nylon-6 product group, as well as engineering plastics compounds at São Bernardo do Campo, near São Paulo, BASF says. Terms were not disclosed. The polymerization plant has capacity for about 20,000 m.t./year. An estimated 100 employees will transfer to BASF.
