Australian Methanol Projects Advance Following Offtake Interest

MEO Australia (Melbourne) said today that is has received expression of interest from “major, international industry participants” for the offtake of methanol from the first of two methanol plants it is planning at Tassie Shoal, offshore of the Northern Territory. Each of the plants is expected to produce 1.75 million m.t./year of methanol, using the Davy Process Technology process. MEO says it is engaged in negotiations to short-list its preferred long-term methanol buyers. It envisages that the long-term sales contracts will provide the revenue...
