World News and Views :: Top of the News Asahi Kasei to Establish Subsidiary and Spunbond Manufacturing Facility in Thailand10:06 PM MST | March 8, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Asahi Kasei Fibers (AKF), an Asahi Kasei subsidiary, says it will establish a subsidiary in Thailand for the manufacture and sale of spunbond nonwovens. The new company, dubbed Asahi Kasei Spunbond Thailand, will be located at the Saha Industrial Estate at Si Racha, Thailand. AKF will have 90% stake in the new company and the Saha Group (Bangkok) will have 10% stake. Asahi Kasei Spunbond Thailand will begin construction of a new plant in August 2011, that will produce 20,000 m.t./year of polypropylene spunbond nonwoven fabric, and it will involve an investment of...
