Asahi Kasei to Build Acrylonitrile Plant in Korea

Asahi Kasei Chemicals (AKC), an Asahi Kasei subsidiary, says it will construct a large new plant for the production of acrylonitrile (AN) at Ulsan, Korea. Construction of the plant, which will have a production capacity of 245,000 m.t./year, is expected to begin in May 2011 and the plant is expected to come online in January 2013.
