World News and Views :: Top of the News Asahi Glass Expands Fluoropolymer Capacity12:05 PM MST | January 25, 2008 | CW Editorial Staff Asahi Glass says it plans to increase production capacity for the company's Lumiflon fluoropolymer by 50% at Chiba, Japan. Asahi Glass will start work on the project in summer, 2008. Further details were not disclosed. Lumiflon is a solvent-soluble fluoropolymer with high weatherability that is used in coatings for structures such as bridges, buildings, industrial tanks, and chimneys, as well as aircraft and vehicles.
