World News and Views :: Top of the News Arkema to Invest €200 Million in Asia by 2012; Shelves Indian Acrylics Plan9:05 AM MDT | October 21, 2008 | Natasha Alperowicz in Shanghai Arkema today officially inaugurated the second hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) line at the company's Shanghai Arkema Hydrogen Peroxide (SAHP) joint venture at Wujing, China, and announced that it will further expand the complex. Separately, Arkema CEO Thierry Le Henaff, speaking at a journalists' briefing in Shanghai today, said that the company has shelved previously announced plans to build an acrylic acid and esters complex in India in a jv with Essar Chemicals because of insufficient availability of propylene feedstock.
