World News and Views :: Top of the News Arkema Exits PVC, New Company Kem One Plans to Invest €400 Million10:59 AM MDT | July 3, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Arkema said today that it has finalized a previously announced divestment of its vinyl products activities to the Klesch Group (Geneva). The new vinyls company is called Kem One. Arkema announced last November that it intended to dispose of its vinyls activities as part of a refocusing toward specialty chemicals. Kem One, headquartered in Lyon, France, has annual sales of about €1 billion ($1.3 billion). It is Europe’s third largest producer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC), trailing only Ineos and SolVin.
