World News and Views :: Top of the News Arch to Acquire Rockwood’s Pool and Spa Chemicals Business9:50 AM MDT | September 8, 2008 | Nancy Seewald Arch Chemicals says it has agreed to acquire water treatment chemicals producer Advantis Technologies (Alpharetta, GA), a subsidiary of Rockwood Holdings, for $130 million in cash. The deal is expected to early in the fourth quarter. Advantis reported 2007 Ebitda of $12 million, on sales of $71 million. It has a manufacturing facility at Alpharetta, as well as warehouses and sales offices in California, Georgia, and Wisconsin.
