Appeals Court Stays EPA Takeover of Texas Permit Program

A federal appeals court has granted an emergency motion by the state of Texas seeking a legal stay on EPA’s planned January 2 takeover of the state’s air permit program. The  U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia says the purpose of the stay is to give the court sufficient opportunity to consider the merits of the state’s request and “should not be construed in any way as a ruling on the merits of that motion.”...
