World News and Views :: Top of the News Apollo Management to Acquire Taminco from CVC9:58 AM MST | December 16, 2011 | Ian Young Private equity firm Apollo Global Management has agreed to acquire Taminco (Ghent, Belgium), the biggest producer of alkylamines and derivatives, from private equity firm CVC Capital Partners for a reported €1.15 billion. The deal is expected to close in the first half of 2012. CVC put Taminco up for sale last September. Apollo beat competition from two other private equity firms, Bain Capital and Pamplona Capital Management, to clinch Taminco, reports say.
