AkzoNobel to Build Coatings Plant in China

AkzoNobel says it will invest about €60 million ($84 million) to increase the production capacity of its automotive and aerospace coatings business in China, to meet rising demand. AkzoNobel will construct a new production facility at Changzhou, China and will also build related warehousing, quality control laboratories, support facilities and offices on the new site. AkzoNobel, in 2010, acquired Prime Automotive Paint (Changzhou), a company that develops, manufactures, and sells automotive coatings, primarily for the refinish market. The new investment will...
