AkzoNobel to Build Cellulose Derivatives Facility in China

AkzoNobel says it will construct a new facility for the production of its Bermocoll cellulose derivatives at the company’s multi-site at Ningbo, China. The company says it will also debottleneck the existing cellulose derivatives manufacturing site at Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. The two projects will involve a total investment of more than €60 million ($84 million) and will increase total capacity to nearly 40,000 m.t./year.
