AkzoNobel Opens Powder Coatings Plant in China

AkzoNobel says it has opened its sixth powder coatings facility in China. The new facility, which is located at the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, will manufacture a range of products of AkzoNobel’s Powder Coatings business, and will joins the business’ five existing sites at Chengdu, Langfang, Ningbo, Shenzhen, and Suzhou in China. AkzoNobel announced earlier this year that it aims to double revenues in China by 2015. The company generated sales of $1.5 billion in the country last year and it employs about 6,500 there.
