World News and Views :: Top of the News AkzoNobel Divests Non-stick Coatings Business to Whitford3:48 AM MST | January 16, 2009 | Natasha Alperowicz AkzoNobel says it has agreed to sell its non-stick coatings business to privately owned fluoropolymer coatings maker Whitford Worldwide (Elverson, PA). Financial details were not disclosed. The deal involves the sale of AkzoNobel's global cookware and bakeware activities with operations in the U.S., China, India, Brazil, and Italy. AkzoNobel's non-stick coatings business empolys about 140 people. Details on how many will transfer with the sale are still being discussed, AkzoNobel says.
