Airgas Reports Rise in Third Quarter Earnings, Sales

Airgas reported third quarter net income of $62.9 million, or 76 cts share, up from $56.8 million, (67 cts/share), in the year-ago quarter. Sales increased 7%, to $1.1 billion in the third quarter, ended December 31. Acquisitions contributed 6% to that increase, the company says.
