Air Products net income up 9%

Air Products reported net income of $314 million for the quarter ended 30 June, up 9% from the prior-year quarter. Revenues were up 3% year-over-year (YOY), to $2.6 billion. Reported earnings were $1.46/share, up 7% YOY and 1 ct above mean analysts as reported by Thomson Reuters (New York). Earnings were higher on stronger volumes in electronics and performance materials and better pricing in merchant gases.
