Air Products Ups Airgas Bid; Airgas Shareholder Urges Sale

Air Products has raised its offer to acquire Airgas by about 7%, to $70/share. Air Products say the offer, which expires January 14, 2011, is its “best and final” and will not be further increased. “The Air Products board has determined that it is not in the best interests of Air Products shareholders to pursue this transaction indefinitely, and Airgas shareholders should be aware that Air Products will not pursue this offer to another Airgas shareholder meeting, whenever it may be held,” says Air Products chairman, president, and CEO John...
