Air Liquide's Lurgi Licenses Methanol-to-Propylene Technology to China

Air Liquide’s engineering & construction division has signed a contract with Shenhua Ningxia Coal Industry Group (SNCG) to build a Lurgi process methanol-to-propylene (MTP) plant in China. Lurgi is a subsidiary of Air Liquide. The award follows the commissioning of a similar unit for the same client. It will be built at Ningdong, Ningxia Province and will be designed to produce 500,000 m.t./year of propylene from coal.   The contract covers basic engineering, license and supply of proprietary equipment as well as services, including...
