World News and Views :: Top of the News Air Liquide to Build Nitrogen Production Unit in Germany for PV Industry4:02 AM MDT | October 1, 2009 | Deepti Ramesh Air Liquide says it will invest about €10 million ($15 million) to build a large nitrogen production unit in the “Solar Valley in Europe” located at Thalheim, Germany. The unit, which is due to start up in 2010, will serve all customers in the high technology park and will meet the increasing demand from solar cell manufacturers at Thalheim, Air Liquide says. The unit will produce more than 38,000 m.t./year of nitrogen. The unit will ensure the nitrogen supply for Calyxo (Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Germany), a subsidiary of Q-Cells (Bitterfeld-Wolfen)...
