Kaneka expands chlorinated PVC capacity in US

Kaneka (Osaka) says that its wholly owned Kaneka North America (Pasadena, TX) subsidiary will increase the production capacity for chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) resin by 20,000 m.t./year, to 50,000 m.t./year, to meet the growing demand in North America. Kaneka North America will invest about ¥5 billion ($51 million) to expand CPVC capacity. The expansion is expected to be completed in early 2015.
