BASF invests in nylon polymerization plant in China

BASF said today that it is building a new Ultramid nylon polymerization plant, with a capacity of 100,000 m.t./year, at Shanghai. The plant is scheduled onstream in 2015. “As part of our long-term strategy, we aim to locate production close to our customers in the Asia/Pacific region so that we can better support their growth, operate more efficiently, and collaborate more closely.
