European PS producers bullish on prices despite weak end-user demand

Polystyrene (PS) prices fell in Europe between January and February, sliding on the back of lower-than-expected demand. But sellers are expecting an increase in the styrene monomer price in March, supported by higher benzene prices. Styrene and benzene will each be in limited supply as a result of planned turnarounds during March, April, and May.
