World News and Views :: Top of the News Coromandel acquires India's leading phosphate fertilizer producer9:34 AM MST | January 25, 2013 | Natasha Alperowicz Coromandel International (Secunderabad, India), among India’s leading producers of fertilizers, crop protection agents, and specialty nutrients, has notified the Bombay Stock Exchange that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the promoters’ stake of up to a maximum of 56.28% in Liberty Phosphate (Vadodara, India), a leading producer of single superphosphate (SSP). Coromandel is paying 241 Indian rupees per share for the stake. Coromandel will also make an open offer to acquire a further 26% stake from all shareholders of Liberty Phosphate...
