Showa Denko and Mitsubishi Corp. form partnership in fullerene business

Showa Denko and Mitsubishi Corp. say they have entered into a strategic partnership for the fullerene business. As part of the deal, Showa Denko acquired, from Mitsubishi Corp., a 50% stake in Frontier Carbon Corporation (FCC; Tokyo), a producer of fullerene products, thereby making FCC a 50-50 joint venture between Mitsubishi Corp. and Showa Denko.
