World News and Views :: Top of the News AkzoNobel and Fluorchemie Form R22 Fluorocarbon Manufacturing Joint Venture11:43 AM MST | November 11, 2011 | Natasha Alperowicz AkzoNobel and Fluorchemie (Frankfurt) have formed CF Carbons (Frankfurt), an equally owned joint venture producing the fluorocarbon HCFC22 (‘R22’). Financial details were not disclosed. CF Carbon will begin operations on January 1, 2012, and will formalize an existing R22 relationship between the two shareholders. AkzoNobel brings its chlorine know-how while Fluorchemie is contributing its production assets and its fluorine technology to the joint venture.
