AkzoNobel and Fluorchemie Form R22 Fluorocarbon Manufacturing Joint Venture

AkzoNobel and Fluorchemie (Frankfurt) have formed CF Carbons (Frankfurt), an equally owned joint venture producing the fluorocarbon HCFC22 (‘R22’). Financial details were not disclosed. CF Carbon will begin operations on January 1, 2012, and will formalize an existing R22 relationship between the two shareholders.
