World News and Views :: Top of the News Lanxess Acquires U.S. Biocides Firm2:13 AM MST | November 10, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Lanxess says it has acquired biocides company Verichem (Pittsburgh, PA), and the transaction will close with immediate effect. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Verichem is a privately owned company currently employing about 20 people, and it recorded sales of about $10 million in 2010. Verichem's production site is located close to Lanxess’ U.S. headquarters at Pittsburgh.
