Lanxess Acquires U.S. Biocides Firm

Lanxess says it has acquired biocides company Verichem (Pittsburgh, PA), and the transaction will close with immediate effect. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Verichem is a privately owned company currently employing about 20 people, and it recorded sales of about $10 million in 2010. Verichem's production site is located close to Lanxess’ U.S. headquarters at Pittsburgh.
