World News and Views :: Top of the News Henkel Builds Adhesives Plant in China12:08 AM MDT | August 23, 2011 | Deepti Ramesh Henkel says it has begun construction of a new adhesives factory in the Shanghai Chemical Industry Park in China. The plant will involve an investment of €50 million ($71.5 million), and it is expected to begin production at the end of 2012. Following completion, the Henkel facility will be the largest adhesives plant in the world with a production capacity of 428,000 m.t./year, Henkel says. The new facility will be the company’s main adhesives manufacturing base in China and the Asia/Pacific region, and will enable the company to cope with the rapidly...
