Solutia to Build PVB Resin Plant in Malaysia

Solutia says it has selected Kuantan, Malaysia for a previously announced polyvinyl butyral (PVB) resin project in Asia. Solutia had announced in October 2010 that it is carrying out a feasibility study to explore the potential addition of a PVB resin plant in the Asia/Pacific region. Kuantan was approved after the extensive feasibility study of the region, and the site will enable the company to serve the broader region’s rapidly growing markets, Solutia says.
