Solutia to Build PVB Resin Plant in Malaysia

Solutia says it has selected Kuantan, Malaysia for a previously announced polyvinyl butyral (PVB) resin project in Asia. Solutia had announced in October 2010 that it is carrying out a feasibility study to explore the potential addition of a PVB resin plant in the Asia/Pacific region. Kuantan was approved after the extensive feasibility study of the region, and the site will enable the company to serve the broader region’s rapidly growing markets, Solutia says. Kuantan is also home to the company’s Crystex insoluble sulfur manufacturing facility...
