Johnson & Johnson to Buy Remaining Stake in Crucell for €1.75 Billion (update)

Biopharmaceutical company Crucell (Leiden, Netherlands) says that it is in advanced negotiations with Johnson & Johnson (J&J; New Brunswick, NJ), for a potential public offer by J&J for all outstanding ordinary shares of Crucell that it does not already own. In September 2009, J&J has purchased about 18% of Crucell’s ordinary shares for a total purchase price of €302 million ($396 million).
