ACC Sees Recession Ending, but Recovery Will Be Rocky

The U.S. has stabilized in the past few months, and "signs of global recovery [are] in place," according to ACC's third-quarter outlook. U.S. chemical industry output is expected to fall 10.7% in 2009, before posting a 1.5% gain in 2010. Both figures represent small improvements on the forecast in ACC's mid-year outlook, which called for an 11.6% drop this year followed by a 1.2% gain next year.
