World News and Views :: Projects Yara and Deepak Form Fertilizer JV in India1:17 PM MST | February 19, 2008 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Yara has signed a preliminary agreement with Deepak Fertilisers and Petrochemicals (Pune, India) for a joint venture to produce and market technical ammonium nitrate (TAN) and specialty fertilizers. It will be Yara’s first production in India. Yara will have 49% of the jv, which will take over a 300,000-m.t./year TAN plant that is due onstream at Paradip, India by year-end.
