Wacker Ups Capacity for Silicone Rubber Compounds

Wacker-Chemie says it will expand capacity for its Silmix silicone rubber compounds. The expansion involves building a finishing plant at Plzeň, Czech Republic. The company says the new unit will focus on “low-volume orders,” and be a good alternative to Wacker’s large-scale operations at Burghausen and Nünchritz, Germany.
