World News and Views :: Projects Victrex Invests in More Capacity and New Products1:01 PM MDT | October 16, 2007 | Chemical Week Editorial Staff Victrex has opened a £32-million ($65.3-million) polyether ether ketone (PEEK) plant at Thornton Cleveleys, U.K. The plant has capacity for 1,450 m.t./year of PEEK, and raises the company’s total to 4,250 m.t./year. Meanwhile, Victrex plans two lines at Thornton Cleveleys that will double capacity at the company’s melt filtration unit there, to 3,600 m.t./year.
