World News and Views :: Projects Versalis mulls elastomers project in Egypt8:47 AM MDT | October 23, 2012 | Natasha Alperowicz Versalis, the chemicals subsidiary of ENI (Rome), is close to signing a deal to set up a new elastomers joint venture in Egypt, CW has learned. Details of the upcoming agreement are not available. Sources say the project could form part of the recently announced cracker development at Alexandria, Egypt, where Egyptian Ethylene and Derivatives Co. is constructing a 460,000-m.t./year ethylene plant and a 20,000-m.t./year butadiene extraction unit.
