World News and Views :: Projects Verde Potash files permit for potash project in Brazil11:29 AM MDT | March 19, 2013 | —Lindsay Frost Verde Potash (Toronto) says it has applied for a preliminary environmental permit for its Cerrado Verde potash project in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The project would help to meet growing demand for potash in Brazil. The company is also currently holding offtake negotiations with several parties for the purchase of granular potassium chloride (KCl) that would be produced at the Cerrado Verde site and is anticipating that final agreements will be concluded in the second quarter of 2013.
