Velsicol Chemical (Rosemont, IL) says it plans to boost capacity of specialty plasticizers at Chestertown, MD by 8,000 m.t./year by year-end. “This investment will also provide additional capacity to produce several new patented polymer additive products we introduced earlier this year,” says Velsicol CEO Ross McMillan. Velsicol says it also plans to increase capacity at its Kohtle-Jarve, Estonia plant, which manufactures benzoic acid, plasticizers, and sodium and potassium benzoate.
