Uncertainty Surrounds Reliance-R&H Acrylics JV

Doubts have emerged about a previously announced acrylic acid and derivatives joint venture between Reliance Industries and Rohm and Haas (R&H) at Jamnagar, India (CW, March 28, 2007, p. 4). The 200,000-m.t./year plant was expected to start operations before the end of 2009 but little progress has been made on the project to date, sources say.
